Welcome to Service Paws – Our First Official Post! 🐾

Hello and welcome!

We’re thrilled to launch the very first blog post for Service Paws, a nonprofit organization based in Layton, Utah, dedicated to transforming lives through the power of service dogs. Whether you’re a long-time supporter, a new follower, or someone curious about our mission, we’re so glad you’re here.

At Service Paws, our purpose is simple but powerful:
To empower individuals with disabilities, veterans, and first responders by connecting them with highly trained service dogs that provide safety, support, and independence.

This blog will be a space where we:

  • Share updates about our training programs and community events
  • Introduce our amazing service dogs and the people they help
  • Celebrate volunteer stories and spotlight our generous donors
  • Educate the public about service dog etiquette and accessibility rights
  • Invite you to get involved through volunteering, fostering, or supporting our mission

Every dog we train, every person we serve, and every act of kindness from our community is part of a bigger story, one of healing, hope, and heart.

We believe that independence shouldn’t come at a cost that feels impossible. That’s why we work hard to provide service dogs and therapy programs at little to no cost for those who need them most.

So, stay tuned. Big things are ahead and we want you with us every step of the way.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in what we do.

With gratitude,
The Service Paws Team

🧠 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Service Paws, we recognize that healing isn’t always visible—and neither is strength. Many of the individuals we serve live with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions that can make everyday life feel overwhelming.

Our trained service dogs provide more than companionship—they offer grounding, comfort, and confidence during life’s most difficult moments.

This month, let’s break the silence, reduce the stigma, and honor every journey toward healing.
You’re not alone. 🐾💙
