Virtual Class Policy: Camera-On Requirement

Purpose:
To foster an engaging and interactive learning environment, all handlers are required to keep their cameras on during virtual classes.

Policy Guidelines:
1. Camera-On Requirement: Handlers must have their cameras turned on for the entire duration of the class.

2. Appropriate Visibility: Handlers should ensure their face is clearly visible, with appropriate lighting and a neutral or professional background.

3. Engagement and Participation: Keeping cameras on promotes accountability and active participation. Handlers should be attentive and present throughout the session.

4. Technical Issues: If a Handler experiences camera-related technical difficulties, they must inform the instructor as soon as possible and attempt to resolve the issue promptly. If unable to resolve, this will cause an absence.

5. Privacy Considerations: If a student has privacy concerns, they may use a virtual background or blur their background as an alternative.

6. Non-Compliance: Repeated failure to comply with this policy without prior approval may result in participation penalties or further disciplinary action as per Service Paws guidelines.

By adhering to this policy, we create a more interactive, respectful, and productive virtual learning experience for all participants.

🧠 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Service Paws, we recognize that healing isn’t always visible—and neither is strength. Many of the individuals we serve live with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions that can make everyday life feel overwhelming.

Our trained service dogs provide more than companionship—they offer grounding, comfort, and confidence during life’s most difficult moments.

This month, let’s break the silence, reduce the stigma, and honor every journey toward healing.
You’re not alone. 🐾💙
