At Service Paws, we believe that education is the foundation of successful service dog partnerships and a more inclusive community. Our educational programs are designed to empower individuals with disabilities, their families, and the public with accurate, practical information about service dogs, disability awareness, and accessibility. For service dog handlers, we provide comprehensive training on canine behavior, learning theory, public access skills, task training, advocacy, and the legal rights and responsibilities that accompany working with a service dog. Through structured classes, hands-on instruction, workshops, and ongoing mentorship, we help handlers develop the knowledge and skills needed to build a successful and reliable service dog team.

Beyond educating service dog handlers, Service Paws is committed to raising awareness within the broader community. We provide educational outreach to businesses, schools, community organizations, and the general public to promote understanding of disabilities, proper service dog etiquette, and the important role service dogs play in the lives of their handlers. Many misconceptions exist regarding service animals and disability access, and our goal is to replace those misconceptions with knowledge, respect, and acceptance. By educating both service dog teams and the communities they interact with, Service Paws helps create environments where individuals with disabilities can participate more fully, confidently, and independently in everyday life. Through education, we strive to build stronger service dog teams, reduce barriers to access, and foster a culture of inclusion for all.
